Ring in the New Year in style by taking part in the third annual Ringing In Hope, Walk, Run & Fun winter event!  This festive event takes place on December 31^st, 2012 and will feature a 10K & 5K Race, and a 1K fun run/walk at Brambleton Town Center!  Bring your family and friends toring in hope for the participating charities located right in your own backyard!

*Maximum 1K Walk/Fun Run charge per family; $25
(Walkers under 12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)

*If parent/guardian is registered for 10K or 5K race, parent/guardian is free for 1K event

*Children 3 and under free.

The 1K walk will now become a 1K walk/fun run! Parents MUST accompany any children under the age of 14.

All race day registration will take place outdoors in order to accommodate the growing number of participants.

Timing and Scoring  Commonwealth Race Management, a division of Potomac River Running,  will provide professional race management and state of the art electronic timing. 

Walk around Brambleton

Bring family and friends along for the 1K walk/run !  The 1K event will be led by a pace guide. All registered walkers will receive bells to ring in hope as well as a participation medal.

Awards

In both the 10K and 5K valuable merchandise or gift certificates will be given to the top 3 overall men and top 3 women as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & over. There will also be drawings during the post-race ceremony - you must be present to win random prizes.

10K & 5K Co-ed Team Competition

Form a team of up to ten runners and compete in the Open Co-Ed category. The fastest four runners score with a minimum of one man and one woman in the first four. Get your running buddies, family, friends, and co-workers together and have fun challenging other teams. A trophy will be awarded to the fastest team .

T-shirts

The event offers a uniquely designed commemorative long sleeve t-shirt to registrants in the 10K & 5K. Sizes are available are Unisex Adult S, M, L, X, XX and XXX. T-shirts are only guaranteed to those who register by December 20, 2012. Runners will receive the t-shirt size they have ordered as indicated on their bib in order to help ensure participants receive what they requested.

Picking Up Bibs and Packets for Your Friends and Family

We do allow runners to pick up bibs and t-shirts for their friends. Please note that t-shirts cannot be mailed. You will not need to show us your ID or copies of their ID to pick up bibs for anyone other than yourself.

Parking

There is plenty of parking within the two garages at Brambleton Town Center.  Should overflow parking be required, there is additional parking in the Brambleton Town Center parking lots.

Strollers

Strollers and baby joggers are welcome, but must start at the back of the pack as a safety precaution for the other participants.

Volunteering
