This special event is a fundraiser for the Paul VI nationally recognized Options Program and the Paul VI Cross Country Team. The mission of Paul VI is to provide an excellent Catholic education to young men and women. Our Options Program provides a quality modified inclusive Catholic education environment for high school age students with intellectual disabilities. Our Cross Country Team competes for the Virginia State Catholic, Virginia Independent and Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championships each fall and has won over 60 championships since 1987. In addition to these championships, the team provides an environment for those new to distance running to develop in a competitive team setting.
Course description
- The course is a USATF certified 5K course with the start and finish located in the parking lot at Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, VA. The 2-loop course includes a few gentle hills and a fast finish.
Packet pick up times, locations
- Saturday, September 15: 11:00 - 3:00 at the Burke Potomac River Running Store (5715 Burke Centre Pkwy, Burke, VA 22015)
- Sunday, September 16: 6:30 - 7:30 am at Paul VI
